"I walked out during Morning Dew, to get back to my life and put a chapter of the past to rest. RIP Jerry."

skiebus, I saw them in Greensboro and I only paid $60.00 for my tickets and my seats were just fine. You didn't have to pay $100.00 a ticket.
I have a couple of questions for you though.
Shouldn't that chapter of your "Grateful Dead" life been put to rest when Jerry died? I mean really, isn't that when it ended?
Do you really think they should've just sung Bob and Phil songs?
RIP Jerry!!! WTF!!! Jerry died in 1995. It's 2009.

If you really went to see something that you thought would even remotely resemble something from 15 to 20 YEARS AGO, you deserve to be disappointed.

I don't mean to be harsh, but this mellodrama just comes off being ridiculous.

Peace.

My tickets were face value. I bought them the day they went on sale. And I have actually seen the GRATEFUL DEAD, but I had no expectations that I was going to see the GRATEFUL DEAD.

Note the name isn't above_average_speller_joe, it's average_joe and here's what my post was about:

(taken directly from your first post)

"It hurt my soul to watch and listen to that" = DRAMA

"it tarnished many good memories" = allowing something that happened today to affect something that happened 14 to 20 years ago = DRAMA

"Had to leave during Morning Dew." = DRAMA (get me a Kleenex, I'm tearing up.)

"I'm sorry, Jerry." Apologizing to a guy who died 14 years ago = RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF DRAMA

Dude, Jerry doesn't care. He doesn't.

Peace.

I have no problem with Warren singing 'Jerry's songs', in fact he should sing more instead of Phil or Bobby. God help us all if Mickey sings.
Why does everyone continue to compare this ensemble to the Grateful Dead? It's another band, perhaps one of the best Grateful Dead cover band ever.I am glad that Warren chooses to play his own style rather than ape Jerry.Enjoy it for what it is.This group of musicians sound damn fine for the amount of time they've clocked together.Sure Jerry's gone and we all miss him, but this is now.
Sorry, the bong hit is wearing down and I'm losing my thunder, just appreciate this for what it is.There is no more Grateful Dead :(.I'll be somewhere in '68 - '74 for a long time to come.Forgive this tirade.I'm through--for now.Back to the bourbon!

It was questionable after October of '74.

Not to be an ass and I and respect your opinion but in the year 2009 I think it's common knowledge that Garcia tunes are apart of the setlist. Just curious why you would even go in the first place.

Yeah, hearing Phil take the leads on morning dew and bird song the first time The dead came back was "interesting" to say the least
